What can I expect on my first visit?

Your first visit is to meet your physician, have a discussion about your condition and symptoms and an assessment. Usually no procedures will be performed on the first visit.

Do I really need someone to come with me to the procedure?

Yes, you will need to make arrangements to have a friend or family member accompany you on the day of the procedure, because the procedure will require sedation. Your driver must remain at the Endoscopy Center during your procedure. Your procedure will not be completed without a friend or family member present. After your procedure, you will be discharged to this persons care. If you are given sedation you will not be allowed to drive for 24 hours after your procedure.

Where is Digestive Healthcare located?

DHC is located off West Central Ave. behind the Meijer complex. From West Central Avenue turn north on Meijer Drive, continue down to the stop sign, turn right onto Boulder Lane, this curves turning into Granite Circle (same road), first drive to the left is Digestive Healthcare and the Endoscopy Center.

Do I need a primary care physician or a referring doctor?

Yes, our physicians prefer that you do.

Do your physicians do Bariatric surgery?

No, that is another kind of doctor.
